Presented by CIDB Malaysia, MCIEA celebrates the vision, dedication, and achievements of the builders, professionals, and organisations whose projects are shaping Malaysia’s built environment and advancing the industry forward.
From groundbreaking innovation to exemplary leadership, the awards honor those who set the highest standards in quality, safety, sustainability, and industry impact.
As MCIEA marks this 25th milestone edition, CIDB Malaysia invites the construction community to showcase their most remarkable achievements and be recognised among the nation’s finest.

CRITERIA
Submission
Procedures
Kindly review these rules before preparing and submitting your entry or entries, as failure to comply may lead to disqualification.
- All participants applying for the MCIEA 2026 Awards are required to submit using proper entry forms. The respective entry forms are enclosed in this brochure, which can also be downloaded from here.
- Applicants may participate in more than one category.
- Entry forms must be duly completed, signed, and dated by the applicant; failing which, the submission will be automatically disqualified.
- CIDB shall have the sole and final decision in the acceptance or disqualification of any entry.
- The form must be completed and attached with supporting documents required for participation.
- Participants/nominees may be required to furnish or submit additional documents and materials as required for further evaluation. Short-listed entries may be required to give a formal presentation to the Panel of Assessors.
- Photographs submitted must be provided in soft copy in JPEG format with minimum of 200 dpi resolution. Materials and photographs submitted to CIDB will not be returned.
- Panel of Assessors shall be allowed reasonable access to inspect the project/organisation/individual related, if required.
- The Secretariat of Panel of Assessors will manage project/organisation/individual visits that include communications with parties to be visited, invitation letters, transportation, etc.
- Participation entries will be automatically disqualified on account of the following:
- Disciplinary action has been applied
- Failure to pay levy on projects that have been levied
- Projects executed beyond the limit specified under the Contractors Grade unless otherwise authorized by CIDB
- Death incident at the site of construction due to negligence
- There is an action from the Insolvency Department that has not been completed
- There will be no reimbursement of expenses relating to the submission of participations for MCIEA 2026.

1. OFFICIAL MCIEA AWARD MARK
Recipients will be granted the privilege to use the MCIEA Award logo in their corporate and marketing communications for a period of one year from the date of the award, signifying their recognition as a benchmark of excellence within the industry.
2. INDUSTRY VISIBILITY & PUBLICITY
Winning projects and organisations will receive featured publicity through CIDB’s official platforms, including the CIDB website and other media channels, providing valuable exposure to the wider construction community.

3. EXTENDED MEDIA EXPOSURE
Recipients may also benefit from additional publicity opportunities within CIDB publications, allowing them to showcase their expertise, products, and services to industry stakeholders for up to one year following the award.
4. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RECOGNITION
Contractors recognised through MCIEA will be awarded 40 CCD points, acknowledging their commitment to professional excellence and continuous development within the construction sector.
5. KNOWLEDGE & INDUSTRY SHARING
Selected award recipients may be invited to participate in CIDB industry platforms and knowledge-sharing sessions, offering them the opportunity to share their experience, innovation, and best practices with the wider construction community.
